Regional Economic Development - Burnett Inland Economic Development Organisation (BIEDO)
The Burnett Inland Economic Development Organisation (BIEDO) is a not-for-profit economic development organisation working collaboratively to build resilience and capacity by connecting individuals, regional business and government. BIEDO encompasses the North and South Burnett regions, delivering into every community and district, no matter how small or remote. BIEDO works at a community level to create opportunity and assist with practical solutions to meet identified gaps in services and skills. BIEDO’s network and collaboration with Councils, local service providers and community organisations enables BIEDO to deliver effective programs and much-needed services within our region.
Since 2017, Olivia has supported BIEDO in developing grant applications, sponsorship proposals and strategic documents. Olivia’s work with BIEDO has previously included contracts as an Economic Development Officer and Communications Officer. Additionally, during 2019 Olivia facilitated a number of grant writing workshops as part of BIEDO’s Grant-ED program, including workshops in Murgon, Biggenden, Blackbutt and Eidsvold.
