RAID Camp

REACH Arts In a Day (RAID) Camp was a key youth arts development program delivered in Far North Queensland by Regional Excellence in Arts and Culture Hubs (REACH, an Education Queensland Initiative) during 2013-2017. RAID was an annual, immersive arts experience for young people aged 15-25 that took place over a 24 hour period (overnight camping available to high school students) and included a full-day creative masterclass with an industry professional in the fields of Visual Arts, Dance, Drama, Music and Media. Up to 50 young people attended each camp and had the opportunity to connect with and work collaboratively with like-minded creative peers and be mentored by an established arts professional. REACH received funding from the Cairns Regional Council Regional Arts Development Fund to support this program.
