Projection & Animation Workshop - Kingaroy

Last weekend I had the pleasure of taking part in the Projection Art & Animation workshop, an intensive two-day program which culminated in a screening of moving image works by 13 regional artists on the iconic peanut silos in Kingaroy. Organised by the Central Queensland Regional Arts Services Network in partnership with South Burnett Arts, South Burnett Regional Council and Bega/Peanut Company of Australia, it was fantastic to develop new work under the mentorship of artist Donna Maree Robinson.

It was great to take part in this program as an artist participant as opposed to being in a coordinating role, and to set aside a weekend of designated creative time to make new work using stop-start animation techniques in iMotion. Workshop announcement: Biggenden!

Last month I was thrilled to facilitate the Creating a “grant ready” project workshop (pictured above) as part of the Burnett Inland Economic Development Organisation (BIEDO)’s capacity building program Grant-ED. The booked-out program was hosted at The Platform, a new business and community hub located in Murgon, next door to the existing BIEDO office. It was great to see so many faces from local community groups, schools and small business on the day and talk through the nuts-and-bolts of project development, so that you’re ready to launch when the right grant opportunity comes along.

Time to hit the road - North Burnett, it’s your turn! Thanks to BIEDO for coordinating this next program in the Grant-ED series, and inviting me to facilitate this session later in July.

I’m pleased to be teaming up with Kristy Frahm (CEO, Burnett Inland Economic Development Organisation) to co-facilitate this workshop as part of BIEDO’s Grant-ED program. If you’re in or around the Burnett Inland, I would love to see you there!

This free workshop is for community groups, not-for-profits, entrepreneurs, businesses and individuals who are looking to be "grant ready"! This workshop in the Grant-ED series will look at developing an idea or project from A to B, so that you're prepared when the next grant opportunity arises.

If you're new to grant writing, looking to hone your grant writing skills, or maybe you've experienced "grant burn out" following a last minute grant application - this workshop will add some tips and tricks to your tool kit before your next submission!
